I like this lots. Compact and light yet not fiddly - just wish I'd bought the 2gb one as I've filled it quicker than anticipated. Like all ipods the headphones are a bit useless if you're engaged in exercise (they fall out)but at this price it's not too much of a stretch to buy a sporty pair (Sennheiser PMX80SPORT ECO Rugged Stereo Neckband Headphones for Sports).
Unfortunately my ipod has died after just 6 months. Luckily Apple were fine about it (I called them) and I had a replacement by the next day which was pretty impressive. Should bear in mind that the guarantee only runs for a year - more of an issue with more expensive ipods which is another reason to buy the smaller, cheaper version.

I bought two of these iPod shuffles, one for my wife and myself. The 1 Gb storage is more than ample and the unit itself is of a size that it can be worn or put in a pocket easily and unobtrusively. The design and operation of the Shuffle is simple, straightforward and excellent. One of the better purchases I have made in my life. JV
